// High Impact Group
A portfolio of AI-native platforms, from data pipelines to AI coaching personas to front-end interfaces. Real data, AI that interprets and design that respects the intelligence of the people using it. We don’t talk about the future. We build for it.
Most professionals formed their view on AI eighteen months ago. That view is already outdated. Roles are broader. Expectations are higher. The gap between those who adapt and those who don’t is no longer theoretical. It’s commercial.
High Impact Group
// How We Build
Every platform is built with AI at the core, not retrofitted onto legacy tools. The intelligence came first. The interface was built around it.
Strategy shapes commitments. Commitments drive scorecards. Execution feeds intelligence. Intelligence informs coaching. Every layer knows about the layers above and below it.
No training manuals. No implementation consultants. Every platform works on day one with opinionated defaults and adapts to the person in the chair, their role, their context, their decisions.
// What We Build
These ventures are not a list. They are a line.
High Impact Group was built on a thirty year arc. Its founder started as a telecommunications engineer in the energy sector, spent fifteen years as a Partner at KPMG, then ran customer and digital for a state government where the first public sector AI platform in Australia was delivered. gridIQ is energy market intelligence. myAIstrategy is AI disruption strategy. advantAIge is leadership capability. They are not separate bets. They are one thesis built into software: energy and infrastructure, transformation at the highest level and AI engineered by the firm rather than bought from someone else.
Each venture solves a different problem. Together, they form a system designed to help individuals and organisations move faster, decide better and compete harder in the age of AI.
A 30-scenario assessment places each leader in one of four readiness bands (Exposed, Developing, Capable, Future-Ready) and surfaces perception gaps between self, manager and peer views. Four specialist AI coaches (Alex, Danni, Marcus, Miles) deliver structured coaching grounded in each leader’s results and development plan. A 12-month roadmap with weekly momentum scoring. An EOS-inspired execution layer with quarterly commitments, weekly scorecards and AI intelligence briefings. White-label available.
Four AI coaches, each with a distinct leadership specialisation, draw on your assessment results, development plan and organisational context before the conversation begins. Intelligence briefings connect engagement patterns to business performance. Every layer of the system informs the layers above and below it.
Paste a URL and six AI advisors, each modelled on a C-suite archetype, analyse your organisation's AI disruption exposure in minutes. Go deeper with a structured workshop, then receive five board-ready deliverables including a 20-slide executive presentation. Entity-aware for businesses, government, universities and NFPs.
Six specialist AI advisors scan your organisation in parallel, score exposure across eight dimensions with named peers identified through live web research, then conduct a structured strategy workshop. Each advisor brings a different lens.

ASRS-aligned Scope 2 with native NEM12 meter file ingestion. PPA backtesting across four contract structures, load shift optimisation, smart alerts, professional analytics and a REST API.

A free, non-partisan dashboard co-stewarded with an Australian not-for-profit partner as part of our Social AI commitment. Updated weekly from ABS, RBA, AIHW and other authoritative sources. No accounts, no paywalls, no spin.

// Inside myAIstrategy
myAIstrategy scans any organisation and delivers a multi-perspective AI disruption assessment in minutes. Not weeks. Six AI advisors, each modelled on a C-suite archetype, analyse your exposure across eight dimensions, identify peers by name through live web research, score your readiness and generate five board-ready deliverables including a 20-slide executive presentation. Then they stay to answer your questions.
A 0–100 score across eight weighted dimensions: workforce replaceability, competitive displacement, digital exposure, market velocity, proprietary data advantage, switching costs, regulatory moat and brand strength. Calibrated rubrics with hard boundaries mean the score is reproducible, not an LLM picking a number.
Six advisors modelled on C-suite archetypes (strategy, technology, revenue, leadership, people and finance), each bringing a different lens to your AI challenge. They know your industry, your scan data and your maturity profile. Ask anything. A quality review checks every deliverable across ten failure modes before release.
Threats and opportunities reference your actual competitive landscape. Peer organisations identified by name through live web research, with AI adoption signals extracted from current news, job postings and web content. Severity ratings, timeframes and categories. Not generic industry trends. Specific to your organisation.
Key dimensions of AI readiness, data, technology, talent, governance, culture and strategy, scored against industry benchmarks. See exactly where you lead, where you lag and where to invest first. Refine with a structured AI interview and document uploads.
AI Disruption Snapshot, AI Disruption Analysis, AI Strategy Canvas, AI Transformation Roadmap and a 20-slide AI Executive Presentation. Four documents and a slide deck, each serving a different audience and purpose. Generated from your scan data and workshop conversation. Not templates.
AI-generated initiatives mapped on a value-vs-feasibility matrix. Each with a clear owner, horizon, dependencies and rationale. Know what to do first, what to sequence and what to park, with the strategic logic behind each call.

// Inside AustraliaMetrics
AustraliaMetrics pulls from authoritative government and international sources, scores metrics across key national categories, tracks every state and territory and serves it all through a free, non-partisan dashboard that a minister, a journalist, a CEO or a year-12 student can actually use. No accounts, no tracking cookies, no advertising. Just data.
Economy, housing, health, society, government finances, business, demographics and innovation. Each with scored metrics, sparklines and full time-series charted back to 2000. A “Getting Better” and “Getting Worse” homepage that surfaces what is improving and what is deteriorating across the whole country. Historical charts overlaid with political context: Labor and Coalition terms shown for reference, not blame.
Every metric gets a green, amber or red rating based on its 10-year baseline and recent trend. Economy, housing, social outcomes, government finances, business, demographics and innovation, each with sparklines, full time-series and drill-down detail. No jargon, no interpretation required.
All eight states and territories compared across key metrics with leaderboard rankings. See which jurisdictions are leading, which are lagging and on what. State-level drill-downs with the same traffic-light scoring and charting as the national view.
Monthly shelf prices of everyday grocery items from Coles and Woolworths. Basket price trends, year-on-year change and item-level comparison. Real prices observed on shelves. Not modelled, not seasonally adjusted. A ground-level complement to official CPI figures.
Ask Bob anything about the data in plain English. “How is unemployment trending?” “What’s happening with housing costs?” Bob pulls the numbers and explains what they mean, in plain language, in seconds. Hard guardrails: no financial advice, no political commentary, no forecasting. Dry Australian wit included.
Data from the ABS, RBA, AIHW, ASIC, World Bank, OECD and more. Automated weekly pipeline with carry-forward handling for quarterly and annual data. A dedicated Data Status page shows exactly when each metric was last refreshed. Full methodology documentation and configurable scoring weights.
Calculated indicators you can’t get from a single source: mortgage repayment burden, rental burden, net business formation. Where available, metrics break down by gender, country of origin, crime type and other dimensions. The granularity that reveals what aggregate numbers hide.
Download any metric as CSV for your own analysis, monthly or native-frequency observations. Font size controls and a high-contrast mode for accessibility. Built for everyone who needs the data, however they need it.
Social AI: A Civic Commitment
AustraliaMetrics is stewarded as a civic asset. High Impact Group co-stewards the platform with an Australian not-for-profit partner to ensure it remains free, non-partisan and in the public interest, regardless of commercial or political pressure. It is the first initiative under our Social AI commitment: applying the same architecture we build for commercial clients to initiatives that serve the public good.
// Advisory
Board-level and executive advisory for organisations navigating AI strategy, digital transformation, leadership capability and technology-enabled growth. Selective, relationship-based engagements with CEOs, boards, private equity firms and investors who want judgement, not just frameworks.
This is not a framework from someone who read about transformation. Chris McLaren spent fifteen years as a Partner at KPMG in Australia and the US, where he led the transformation of business units measured in billions. As Chief Customer and Digital Officer for the Queensland Government he ran a $675 million, 1,850-person group, lifted the state’s digital readiness from ninth to fourth and his team built Australia’s first public sector AI platform. He has been an interim CEO, chaired the North American Advisory Board of UTS and teaches this at Duke Corporate Education.
Advisory engagements are selective, confidential and relationship led. You work directly with that judgement on the decisions that matter, not a deck prepared by a team you will never meet.
What we advise on
// Founder
High Impact Group was founded by someone who has been on both sides of the decision. Most people advising boards on AI have never built it. Most people building it have never run the organisation that has to live with the result. Chris McLaren has done both, for twenty five years.
He was a Partner at KPMG across Australia and the United States. As Chief Customer and Digital Officer for the Queensland Government he ran a $675 million, 1,850-person group accountable for digital, customer, cyber and critical infrastructure for the state. Under that tenure Queensland’s digital readiness moved from ninth to fourth, a $200 million Digital Economy Strategy was launched and his team built Australia’s first public sector AI platform.
He has been interim CEO of a US technology company, chaired the North American Advisory Board of UTS and teaches executives at Duke Corporate Education. He studied digital transformation at MIT and holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with First Class Honours.
That record is the standard the firm runs to. High Impact Group builds its own AI rather than reselling someone else’s behind a brand. The intelligence is engineered first and the platform built around it. The conviction behind every venture is the one that career produced: AI restructures organisations, and the bottleneck is leadership judgement, not technology.
We do not talk about the future. We build for it.
// Advisory Meets Capability
Board-level strategy without capability is theatre. Capability without strategic direction is drift. We do both and they’re explicitly designed to work together. The firm builds and licenses platforms at scale. The advisory practice is deliberately selective, a relationship-only tier that sits on top of them. That separation is intentional.
Executive education programmes delivered through advantAIge, available for institutions who want to run their own programmes on it.
If you’re a board, investor, CEO or professional who wants to move, not just talk about moving, let’s go.
